Kathleena Gorga is a self-image and beauty coach. Passionate about creating transformations, Kathleena is a hairstylist, makeup artist and gifted teacher. She believes that appreciating and cultivating beauty from within is a practice one can consciously choose each day.
Kathleena knew she wanted to be an artist from the age of nine. After dabbling in painting and drawing, she became fascinated with makeup as a young teenager and started to experiment with hair cutting and styling on “volunteers” within her family.
She became a licensed cosmetologist in New York City and also earned her undergraduate BFA degree in Theatre at New York University. She completed her post graduate studies at The Webber Douglas Academy in London, England in 1982. Her extensive acting, singing, movement training and her experience as a performer became an important vehicle for Kathleena on her artistic path.
Kathleena’s career in beauty industry blossomed at the legendary Il Makiage Cosmetics, a Mecca for makeup artists in New York City in the 1980s.
Kathleena founded her company Conscious Beauty while cultivating an international career (Italy, Spain, & France) as a freelance makeup artist and hair stylist in the fashion, commercial print advertising, and music industries.
Kathleena’s work has been featured in prestigious magazines such as Vogue, Vogue Brides, Glamour, Elle, Time and Newsweek. Commercial clients have included Hewlett Packard, American Express, Coca Cola and Macy’s. Some of the celebrities Kathleena has worked with include Emma Stone, Diane Sawyer, Heidi Klum, Tom Hanks & Steve Martin.
An Accredited Advanced Certified Practitioner of Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT), Kathleena blends her image consulting skills with energy healing tapping techniques to help her clients shift negative self-image patterns that keep them from experiencing their True beauty.
