Kathleena Gorga is passionate about catalyzing and creating transformations. An artist, healer and gifted teacher, she believes that creating glamour is a shape shifting skill that can be learned. She also knows that appreciating and cultivating true beauty is a practice one can choose each day…

Kathleena knew she wanted to be an artist from the age of 8 or 9. After dabbling in water color painting and pastels, she became fascinated with makeup as a young teenager and started to experiment with hair cutting and styling on “volunteers” within her family.

She went on to live in New York City and became a licensed cosmetologist in the process of earning her undergraduate BFA degree in Theatre at New York University. Completing her post graduate studies at The Webber Douglas Academy in London, England in 1982, her extensive acting, singing, movement training and her experience as a performer became an important vehicle for Kathleena on her own healing path. “ I loved the creativity of being a performer but I realized that I had no idea who I was and that continuing to pursue an acting career would not be the best choice for me…I yearned to understand who I was as a woman as well as an artist.”

Her career in beauty industry blossomed at legendary Il Makiage Cosmetics, a Mecca for makeup artists in New York City in the 1980’s… Kathleena started her company, Conscious Beauty Productions, while cultivating an international career (Spain, Italy & France) as a freelance makeup artist and hair stylist in the fashion, commercial print advertising, and music industries. Her work has been featured in prestigious magazines such as Vogue, Vogue Brides, Glamour, Elle, Time and Newsweek. Commercial clients have included Hewlett Packard, Bank of America, Coca Cola and Macy’s. Some of the celebrities Kathleena has worked with include Heidi Klum, Cindy Crawford, Steve Martin & Alice Waters. She continues to sharpen her skills as a hairstylist and has completed advanced haircutting trainings at Vidal Sassoon and Eufora International.

Kathleena is the founder and creator of Embracing Deep Beauty Work™, a holistic approach to discovering, embracing and celebrating the unique expression of beauty within each individual.

In 1994, Ms. Gorga completed a teacher training for the movement / dance meditation practice, The Roth 5 Rhythms™. “It was the dance and creative expressive movement that provided a huge shift in my life. It allowed me to understand that true beauty comes from being authentically present in and connected to our bodies and with ourselves.”

Over the past 25 years, she has conducted numerous inner and outer beauty workshops with women of all ages. Kathleena’s purpose is to inspire women to nurture a loving, more compassionate relationship with themselves and to express their unique beauty.
